formerly the Ecotourism Society of India (ESOI) is a non-profit organization with an aim to promote and ensure Environmentally Responsible and Sustainable practices in the Tourism industry.

Our Mission

Make strategies and efforts to ensure long-term (perpetual) sustenance of the environment.

Work with empowered bodies to establish carrying capacity and sustainable tourism practices which include conservation of nature and wildlife, and allow local communities to benefit from tourism.

Responsible Traveler Guidelines

On World Tourism Day, 27 September 2020, these guidelines have been launched by the Responsible Tourism Society of India and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. We as travelers need to be caretakers of this planet and the way forward is to be RESPONSIBLE! 

Tourism is a powerful tool and while both the Tourism Industry and the Government are working towards policies to make tourism sustainable, we urge the traveler to join hands in this endeavor. A lighter footprint is indeed the way forward.
